New & Notable
at Chatsworth & Hall

What’s New and Notable
Spring 2012 from Joseph Ribkoff featuring the colour of the season - 'Hot Tangerine'.
Royal Blue:
We are seeing this rich and beautiful colour become more and more mainstream. And no wonder. Combined with either black or navy it looks both new and fresh. Chatsworth & Hall’s Fall 2011 Collection features Royal Blues from Samuel Dong, Bylyse, Louben and Oscar B. Speaking of the ‘royals’ – check out Fashionable Notes for my take on the fabulous and stylish Catherine M.
Taupe:
Ribkoff calls this elegant, classic
colour ‘Moonrock’ – a warm
combination of silver and beige
which is flattering on almost
everyone. How wonderful to
have another basic colour to
beautifully combine with, and
in some cases, replace
everyone’s favourite – black.
We have it in a light as a
feather cashmere jacket from
Louben, and combined with rose
pink from Bylyse @ Ease, in faux
suede from Lebek (please see
Pauline’s best pick), and stylish
separates from Paris based Caty
Lesca.The taupes, blacks and
creams of the season also
combine in some of the most
sophisticated animal prints we
have seen in years.
Thinner Pants:
If you are not quite into the extremely popular legging look, the new, thinner pant worn under tunics, long shirts, short dresses is an easy, flattering and stylish alternative. From Not Your Daughter’s Jeans, Gardeur and Ribkoff.
Wider Pants:
Drapey, wide pants are elegant, easy to wear and very European. They look lovely with longer draped tops or with the short, shaped jackets from Louben or Ribkoff.
Short, Shaped Skirts:
In stretch fabrics for comfort, these skirts are sassy and stylish. Worn above the knee, they are an important look for Fall. Look for them from Ribkoff, Gardeur and Ingenuity.
Longer, ‘Maxi’ Skirts:
Graceful and so easy to wear, long skirts have crossed the Atlantic from Europe this summer and have stayed for Fall. They are best worn with flatter, chunky shoes or boots for a Boho, comfortable look. Chatsworth & Hall has the new longer skirts from Ribkoff, Nic + Zoe and Caty Lesca.
Modea Stretch Cotton Blouses:
Customer after customer
has told us how marvelous
these blouses are. First of
all, they are up to the
minute in style. Combine
that with an extremely
soft combination of cotton,
nylon and elasthane, a
fabric that washes
extremely well, doesn’t
need ironing, and stretches
for comfort, never feels
tight and you have a real
winner. We have 7 styles of
Modea blouses in white,
pale blue and stripes
coming for Fall. A German
company, Modea also
makes jeans, jackets and
fabulous 100% cotton
sweaters.
Funky Mesh Layering tops from Joseph Ribkoff:
The newest in layering, these crew or turtle neck long sleeved mesh tops go under everything, covering the arms and adding an extra element of style without adding bulk – or warmth. Hard to imagine? –
You’ll just have to pop in and see them –At Chatsworth & Hall. Where Else?
